OK, I did it, here are two, count them, TWO socks. No, wait a sec, don't look yet, screw up your eyes so they are a bit blurry, ok, now look!
They are far less than perfect, but did I say yet that there are TWO. And my feet don't know the difference, they can't see the mistakes.
In the interests of honest blogging, let me share the fact that the first sock is bigger, and in some places the dropped stitches seem to have got twisted when I picked them up. On the other hand I blame the pattern for the matching holes on one side of each sock where the decreases didn't add up. I frogged number one and did it again so I'm almost certain its not my fault. I couldn't have done it wrong three times... could I?
A few locals have asked when I'm knitting a pair of socks for them. Don't hold your breath! I've cast on a project in larger needles and wool and I love how fast the rows appear. I will say thought that my knitting has improved and I happily cast on to dpns without a second thought. And I love the feel of my hand knitted socks. Luxury :-)

Your socks rock! They look so soft and warm and lovely to wear. And your perseverance is inspiring - I have several yarn projects (relatively simple ones!) in various states of incompletion & gathering dust, but you've inspired me to dig out at least one of them and have another go :)
