The do include meat but also some really nice vege meals - I am trying to up the vege content in our diets a bit too. I did a version of the 5:2 last yr when my jeans all got uncomfortably tight in winter - the breast cancer foundation in the uk ( genesis) has done some really positive studies about this method although they don't' really focus on the calorie count but reduce the carb content a bit. I found it made my food choices much better when I was just eating normally too without really thinking about it .
