May's roses

May turns 90 this year. Here are some roses she bought over to thank me for pruning her bushes. This rose is Queen Elizabeth.

This has to be one of the great foliage plants. Apparently it is a mad weed but with such amazing and finely cut leaves I will put up with that for now.

How cute is this. Can you see the little flowers in the centre of the bloom. An amazing violet colour they look like someone drew them.

What an amazing piece of art this found nest is.

rose seedling

After many tries I have managed to grow a rose from seed collected last winter in a nearby park. Amazingly this tiny creature is sending out this even tinier bud. Fingers crossed it will manage to flower. If it does I'll post it here.
